# @ Tools

> Learn how to use @ actions across Telepathic to attach context and get better AI responses

## Overview

Telepathic uses @ actions to attach context to your questions and instructions. By mentioning specific data, prompts, content items, or resources, you help the AI provide more accurate and actionable responses.

Simply type `@` in any text input to see all available actions, or type `@` followed by a keyword to search for specific items.

## Where @ Tools Are Available

@ functionality is available across Telepathic in:

* **Content Ideas** - Chat interface for content strategy recommendations
* **Content Generation** - When creating new content items
* **Content Editing** - When editing existing content and providing instructions
* **Content Chat** - When chatting about specific content pieces

The available @ actions vary by context. Some actions are specific to Content Ideas, while others (like @brand, @content, and @prompt) are available across all editors.

## Available @ Actions

### Your Data

#### @all\_prompts

**Available in:** Content Ideas

**What it does:** Attaches an overview of all your tracked prompts with key metrics.

**Data provided:**

* Prompt text
* Visibility (brand mention rate) percentage
* Search volume (monthly searches)
* Intent level (very\_high, high, medium, low)
* Target keyword

**Use cases:**

* "What content should I create next based on gaps in my coverage?"
* "Which prompts have the best opportunity - low visibility but high volume?"

#### @all\_content

**Available in:** Content Ideas

**What it does:** Attaches an overview of all your created content items.

**Data provided:**

* Content title
* Word count
* Content score (0-100)
* Content type (Guide, Comparison, FAQ, etc.)
* Status (draft, published, etc.)
* URL

**Use cases:**

* "Should I refresh existing content or create new articles?"
* "Which of my content pieces need improvement based on their scores?"

#### @competitors

**Available in:** Content Ideas

**What it does:** Attaches competitor performance data across your tracked prompts.

**Data provided:**

* Competitor name and domain
* Total mentions across all prompts
* Average mention rate
* Average sentiment score
* Top prompts where each competitor appears most

**Use cases:**

* "What topics are competitors covering that I'm missing?"
* "Which competitors are mentioned most often and where?"

### Resources

#### @brand

**Available in:** All editors

**What it does:** Attaches your brand guidelines and context documents.

**Data provided:**

* Brand document titles
* Full content from brand guidelines, product demos, messaging docs, etc.
* Documents can be from URLs, file uploads, or pasted text

**Use cases:**

* "Create content that matches our brand voice and messaging"
* "What content should I write based on our product positioning?"
* "Use our brand guidelines to ensure this content aligns with our tone"

#### @playbook

**Available in:** Content Ideas

**What it does:** Attaches SEO playbooks and best practices.

**Data provided:**

* SEO playbook titles and categories
* Best practices content for content creation, optimization, and AI visibility

**Available playbooks:**

* **Content writing playbook** - Content creation and writing strategies for AI visibility
* **15 ranking hacks** - 15 specific tactics to rank #1 in AI answers
* **Technical SEO playbook** - Technical SEO best practices for AI search

**Use cases:**

* "How should I structure this content for maximum AI visibility?"
* "What SEO best practices should I follow for this topic?"

#### @guides

**Available in:** Content Ideas

**What it does:** Attaches Telepathic help documentation.

**Data provided:**

* Telepathic guides covering prompts, content creation, and metrics

**Use cases:**

* "How do I interpret my visibility metrics?"
* "What's the best way to track and improve my AI visibility?"

#### @news

**Available in:** Content Ideas

**What it does:** Provides current industry trends and context based on your project description.

**Data provided:**

* AI uses its training knowledge to provide timely, relevant industry insights

**Use cases:**

* "What are the current trends in my industry I should write about?"
* "What recent developments should I consider for this content?"

#### @prompt:\[id]

**Available in:** All editors

**What it does:** Attaches detailed information about a specific prompt you've selected.

**Data provided:**

* Full prompt text
* Visibility (brand mention rate) percentage (Content Ideas only)
* Search volume (Content Ideas only)
* Intent level (Content Ideas only)
* Latest run mention rate and citation rate (Content Ideas only)
* Average sentiment score (Content Ideas only)
* Competitor mentions (Content Ideas only)
* AI response analysis summary (Content Ideas only)

**Use cases:**

* "What content should I create to improve my visibility for this prompt?" (Content Ideas)
* "Create content that targets this prompt" (Content Generation)

#### @content:\[id] or @article:\[id]

**Available in:** All editors

**What it does:** Attaches detailed information about a specific content item.

**Data provided:**

* Content title and URL
* Word count
* Content score and prompt focus score (Content Ideas only)
* Content type
* Target prompts (Content Ideas only)
* Evaluation summary (Content Ideas only)
* Content preview (Content Ideas only)

**Use cases:**

* "How can I improve this content piece to get better AI visibility?" (Content Ideas)
* "Reference this content when creating the new piece" (Content Generation)
* "Make this content similar in style to the referenced content" (Content Editing)
* "What should I change about this content?" (Content Chat)

### Website Pages

#### @sitemap

**Available in:** Content Ideas

**What it does:** Attaches an overview of all pages in your website sitemap.

**Data provided:**

* List of all sitemap pages (up to 50 shown)
* URL, section, and title for each page
* URL patterns and structure analysis

**Use cases:**

* "What content gaps exist in my sitemap?"
* "Which pages should I optimize for better AI visibility?"

**Note:** You can also mention `@sitemap` directly in your message text (not just through the @ menu) to automatically include your sitemap context.

### Content Generation, Content Editing, and Content Chat

These editors have a more focused set of tools:

* **@brand** - Brand guidelines and context documents
* **@prompt:\[id]** - Specific prompt details (search for prompts)
* **@content:\[id]** or **@article:\[id]** - Specific content items (search for content)

## Tips for Using @ Tools

1. **Combine multiple @ actions** for richer context:
   * `@all_prompts @all_content` - Compare your prompts with your existing content (Content Ideas)
   * `@competitors @all_prompts` - See where competitors appear vs. your visibility (Content Ideas)
   * `@brand @prompt` - Create content that matches your brand and targets a specific prompt (Content Generation)

2. **Use specific items** when you want detailed analysis:
   * Select a specific prompt to get competitor analysis and AI response insights (Content Ideas)
   * Select a content item to get improvement suggestions or reference it in new content

3. **Start broad, then narrow down:**
   * First use `@all_prompts` to see the big picture (Content Ideas)
   * Then select specific prompts for detailed analysis

4. **Include resources** when creating or editing content:
